I've been ignoring most of the stuff I "should" be doing to scrapbook. As soon as I got back from Provo, I was spending every spare moment planning our bike trip. So I never had the chance to finish all those really kewl projects I started at CKU. I've accomplished quite a bit this week on what will be the best ever album - from my main album track, A-Z Personal Treasury! It is turning out oh so awesome. I can't wait to finish it so I can share it with those I love. (Of course I've been showing Greg pages as I complete them - as I told him, sometimes I need an ego stroke!) Once I finish my Personal Treasury, I can pull out the smaller albums and items and work on them. I have a weekend crop coming up in a few weeks; hopefully that will help me get caught up!
My challenge to myself: I'm taking the photo a day challenge. I thought it would be convenient to start it on our trip, since I was already taking pictures. But now at home, I'm not doing so well. I think it'll be fun to put together a "Year in the Life" album with my photos from each day - it'll be more of an everyday kind of album, versus the highlights I do now in my normal chronological albums. We'll see how that goes!

oh, yeah, baby. I went. With Amy. It is SO worth it. And I'm going to Chicago!!! No questions about it.
Provo was CKU-Albums, which was fab!! Every single person I spoke with, no matter how many regular and/or masters they went to, said Albums was way better. Many of them have said they won't even go to one anymore unless it's Albums. A lot of very devoted Provo-goers, the ones who only attend Provo, and go every year, aren't going to Provo in 2006 because it's a regular one, not an Albums. So anyway, with Chicago being Albums, it is a definite MUST in my book!
I can't wait to see you and tell you about it!!! I was in a rockin' dorm, and OMG - it'll just have to wait!!!
Ok, girl, you can get away for a FEW nights, can't ya??? And it isn't like you'd have to pay airfare.
ok, ok... I believe the cost this year was $295 for Albums. This does not include hotel or meals. It only includes the classes, crops, etc.
Registration is on (I believe) Dec 14th. These often sell out within hours or less - I will be sitting here with my fingers on the keyboard, hitting the F5 refresh key over and over, to register as soon as I can!! I'll have all my classes picked out already, with backups in case something's already full. Yes - it's that bad!
Yes, it's March 30 - April 1, in Oak Brook, which is probably 1.5 - 2 hours south of my house.
Rooms are approx $110 plus tax per night. You know that Robin babydiva plans to go, right?? She's going with her sister. Perhaps you can bunk with them, or perhaps with us, or perhaps with a dorm mate... Oh, and by the way, rooms are already sold out!
Timewise, I would definitely go down Wed night, especially since you're a morning person just like me (not!). But you could go home Saturday after the last brouhaha. There is a crop that night which is helpful in finishing up some of the projects, but you could definitely skip it to get back home, if that makes it easier for you to get away...
LOL - early birds... yeah right. It was easy in Provo, because they're an hour behind us. I won't have that little advantage in Chicago. Oh well. I think I can put up with that little inconvenience!!
They'll post all the info on the creatingkeepsakes.com board in the CKU section. They are notoriously late with everything!! I think we had maybe the schedule maybe a week or two before registration. Even after registration, they added two new classes for Provo, so you kind of have to watch. The Yahoo board is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CKU_Chicago/
I know at one point Amy had an extra room, but I don't know if she already promised it to someone else.
