it's a journey

A motorcycle vacation isn't just a trip, it's a journey. Yes, the destinations are great, but what we encounter along the way is amazing. I wish I could have a teeny tiny camera attached to my sunglasses, so I could just snap photos along the way. And the people are fun too - so many people scope out our bike, ask us questions, smile and wave!

I can't speak for Greg on this, but during the many long hours riding and admiring the scenery, my mind wanders in many different directions. Today traveling from Buena Vista, Colorado to Moab, Utah, I was amazed by the wide variety of landscapes. It is such an amazing wonderful world we live in!!

Of course, it also makes me feel like such a tiny little speck of humanity. As I was gazing at the various mountain landscapes, I was absolutely unable to fathom, or even vaguely imagine, the cataclysmic activity that pushed solid rock so hard that the strata is completely vertical. wow
