thoughts on Idaho...
1) Some parts are kinda boring, some parts are beautiful. I need to come back to explore some more!
2) The ride from Boise northeast then south east into the Sawtooths was amazing. Greg's putting this as the 2nd best drive we've been on yet. If it hadn't been so durn cold, I could have taken pics, but it was way cold, and I had my ski gloves on!
3) The Sawtooth Mtns - ok, this is corny, and I don't do corny - when I saw the mountains I almost got tears in my ears. They are overwhelming and gorgeous and awe-inspiring. If you haven't visited that area yet - GO!! I WILL go back.
4) WHEN you visit the Sawtooths, you need to stop for lunch or dinner in a town called Arco, famous for being the first town powered by nuclear. There is a very tiny little restaurant there, called something liked Grandpa's Southern Bar-B-Q, that had the best barbecue chicken sandwich I ever had. Now... take this with a grain of salt, with the knowledge that I'm not a big fan of shredded meat with barbecue sauce slathered on - it's ok, but nothing great. Now this place makes barbecue the good way - slow cooked, smoked, rubbed, seasoned... mmmmm.
