The first visible warning, in Boise - many trees had started changing to fall colors. This was Saturday the 10th. Hmmmm...
That night we spent the night in a teepee in the Sawtooth Mtns. And YES, that is snow on the ground. It snowed the night before we arrived - thank goodness the snow had all melted off the roads already!!!
AND.... get ready for this.... Saturday night while we were sleeping in the unheated teepee, the temps got down to 15!!!! Yahoo for electric blankets! Our bodies were toasty warm from the neck down, but it sure was hard to crawl outta bed to walk to the showers. Ack!!
