We headed back into Colorado, on the last stretch of the race. LOL Greg loves riding the roads in CO, so we're back during the warm months, unlike the last time, at the beginning of this trip, when a snowstorm blocked the tunnel to go into the mountains from Denver. These pictures are all taken in the southwest part of the state.
This one's taken from Telluride.
I thought the colors were amazing here - in one spot there were quite a few mountains/hills with this kind of coloration and look. A couple are obviously being mined - I don't know if they all have been.
These next two are especially for Pat and Art - notice the guard rails? oh, oops, neither do I. There aren't any. Many roads don't have the guards, yikes, it can be a bit freaky occasionally. But I think I've been doing great, given that I have a slight fear of heights. I try to keep busy taking pictures so I don't THINK about the drop and the height, etc. And even though these were both taken while we were riding on the rock side - don't even think that we do that on purpose. I swear we're on the dropoff side more than the rock side!!

I just saw a large land auction online last night for thousands of acres of land to be auctioned off in the SW section of CO in August. Maybe we could start a commune - live for less and enjoy an occasional trip to the Naked Moose!
