today

is a snowday. Not many businesses are officially closed, but they're nuts if they want employees out driving today. The snow started falling last night (again!) and is still going strong - totals are expected to be 10-16 inches in SE WI. yikes!! And if that isn't bad enough, the wind is atrocious, creating near-whiteout conditions, drifts up to 5 feet in rural areas.

I stayed home. I'm snug and warm here. And SAFE. I hope all my friends and family are staying safe also!

Updated to include these pics of G out snowblowing. Yes, it's the same photo, but the first one makes it look like things are settled down. hahahaha The second photo looks really grainy, right? - that's from the snow still coming down and blowing. The neighbors across the street had already shoveled a couple times (G helped once). Mitchell Airport is only around 9" so far; all other locations indicate 11-12", many with more. yikes! Green County actually pulled the plows off the road, it is so bad there!

Wow, can't even see your street! Man I've learned to not complain about how we don't get snow like when we were kids!

Ewww! Better you than me, right? ;D
We had our share a few weeks ago. Right now, we only have snow in piles here and there (where the plows came, where people shoveled, and in some shady spots).
